Thrown vessels inspired by the world around me
This image shows a close-up of the work I am doing at the moment. Inspired by the stunning landscape of the Glamorgan Heritage Coast I am using coloured clays to throw agateware pieces on the wheel. In trying to control the uncontrollable qualities of the technique, it provides me with the element of surprise that has always been the driving force of my journey with clay.

I have recently started working with porcelain again. I love the drama of black porcelain, but also the pureness of white porcelain. I look forward to explore more with this medium.
