MY VESSELS
Thrown vessels inspired by the world around me
These images show a selection of the work I am doing at the moment. Inspired by my beautiful surroundings in the Vale of Glamorgan and the heritage of my South African upbringing, I make my wheel thrown vessels to reflect these.
In trying to control the uncontrollable qualities of the various throwing and firing techniques I use, I experience the elements of surprise that has always been the driving force of my journey with clay.

I have recently started working with porcelain again. I love the drama of black porcelain, but also the pureness of white porcelain. I look forward to explore more with this medium.
